In memory of the countless times that the Simplon saw me pass through it. To the hopes and pains that I left behind him. In memory of the crazy races towards joy, towards what was to become my destiny. Like entering and exiting a dream, like drinking the poison that slowly acts but kills. Dozens of trains took me towards the wind, a thousand lashes of snowy air, millions of affectionate transports in which to drown to be reborn. So journey after journey until the last departure, until the irreversible passing away.
