Born in Turin in 1966, from school age I have always shown a strong natural tendency to design. In fact, both artistic and technical design were areas in which I excelled with grades above average, without particular difficulty. Even at 7 / 8 years I was going to spend many hours watching with great interest a very famous artist quoted a family friend, while drawing or painting in his studio.
The basic rules of drawing such as perspective, the projection of shadows, the right light, the proportions and sense of space and depth, are essential factors for me. I did not attend art school or academy of fine arts. Even knowing draw, for many years I have not dared to venture in the use of color. For some time I started to paint, limiting myself to the hobby. Just to satisfy myself, not only for the obvious choice of a person who inspired my taste (like every artist uses generally do), but the specific intent of wanting to hang the painting in my home run.
Do not create the work in order to sell it. Only some time I decided to break the delay for getting into the difficult world of art. I can certainly say that my favorite subjects are predominantly urban landscapes of the era. The style of my painting oscillates between realism and hyper-realism. |
