Betrix (Calro Bertani) was born in Pogliano Milanese il 12/29/1912. Lived until the age of fifteen years in campoagna, thanks to his powers of observation, took his time to study the nature and design aspects of its worlds. Began working only twelve; but he interrupted his studies favorites: continued attending evening school of Arts and crafts in Milan, distinguishing himself always in fine arts, while day arm streamlined its ability in drawing by the cabinet-maker and woodcarver. Then he enrolled at the school of Coachmen, Italy affasinanto by what was to become the symbol of technological progress of the century: the car. At the end of this school, after having worked as a figurista at some great Coachmen, joined the staff of the styling of one of the most prestigiore automotive industries. The interest for the color of already skilled draughtsman Betrix, to attend the schools of art and to grapple with the tempera and watercolor, then entice the oil. Thus began his work as painter staying several times in Paris and London and experimenting with different expressive techniques. In the year 1973 he abandoned figurative painting and sought its original road by applying a continuous research methodology operated with scientific rigour to achieve production of 1975. Her life then met different periods characterized by the alternation of the results of his research between shapes and colors; and ended in June 1994 with his death. |
