Andrea Speziali was born in Rimini on September 28th, 1988 and lives in Riccione, in an area named Abissinia, close to Villa Antolini to which he dedicated most of his time.
He graduated at Istituto Statale d’Arte “Federico Fellini” in Riccione in 2007 and he is going to take his post-graduation at the Belle Arti Academy in Rimini. His passion and interests are focused on arts and, specifically, in painting, sculpture and graphic being mainly inspired by Mirko Vucetich’s work, the eclectic architect of Villa Antolini, and in the Art Nouveau, offering some original interpretations.
Andrea is an artist, a designer and a versatile writer.
Since the age of 7 he showed an interest for painting and, supported by a valid Master, he has deepened and achieved the most important artistic techniques.
The works executed between 2007 and 2008 have been very appreciated and many of them are placed in private collections. His recent book, “A season of Liberty in Riccione” with Maggioli Publishing House, had a great success, contributing to export Riccione name beyond National borders, where Vucetich architect realized sculptures and architectures together with other artists like Alberto Vargas and Arturo Martini.
He summarizes his journey in this way:” The studying years, the experience to be done, which leaded me to realize creations which range from photography to sculpture and painting and the comparison with important models, has been decisive to mature in myself an idea of poetic”.
With the realization of the plaster prototype of Shark” scent’s box, of which he also produced the essence, Andrea emerged in an exhibition organized by Riccione Town Hall and the Istituto d’Arte at Villa Mussolini in the same town.
Andrea is a creative artist, full of new ideas and initiatives. He is also a researcher of “jewels lost in the ages”, like prestigious buildings and sculptures of dead artists.
Among his different discoveries and scientific studies there is Mario Mirko Vucetich’s work, forgotten for a long time, one of the most versatile personalities of ‘900 to whom Andrea is preparing an exposition focused on his monograph and the general catalogue of his artwork. |
